In the wake of current situation between Pakistan and India, the provincial health department has asked the heads of health institutions to make necessary arrangements to cope with any untoward situation. Special arrangements have been made at Services Hospital where all the departments will remain on high alert and a central control room will monitor time to time situation, said a department's spokesperson on Thursday. The Additional Medical Superintendent and Deputy Medical Superintendent will work round the clock to meet any kind of emergency.

No doctor, nurse or staff member will be permitted to take an off till further orders and in the emergency department of Services Hospital the Additional Medical Superintendent and Deputy Medical Superintendent will be available to provide best possible medical services.

Medical Superintendent Dr Saleem Shahzad Cheema directed that including life saving all kind of drugs and medicines should be available in sufficient quantity while operation theatre should also be made complete functional. He said that 150 to 200 blood donor should be in loop to get bleed any time. Similarly, security staff, including CCTV, should be in working position and provision of uninterrupted electricity be ensured with the generator, he added. Dr Cheema also said that this is an important hospital which cannot afford any kind of negligence, especially in the state of war. He said every doctor and staff member should be on high alert to provide full assistance to the armed forces and citizens in the state of war. He authorized all the AMSs and DMSs to supervise their departments individually and remain available in the day, evening and night shifts with close contact with 1122 and the district administration. He appealed to all the doctors and staff members to come forward in this difficult time and prove their abilities for the service to the humanity. He assured that Services Hospital will at the forefront to provide medical services in any emergency situation and best performance will be observed.
